Kansas City Graduates
Chuck Klingsick
Owner
Chuck was born in the St. Louis area before moving to Indiana where he met his wife and started a family; he eventually made his way to Kansas City where he now resides.
Chuck grew up with pets and always felt that they brought a family closer together. He also owned his own photography business in college before transferring into the IT world where he worked as a developer and project manager for over 30 years. After losing his job due to downsizing, he needed a change and was introduced to Dog Training Elite. He loved the way they trained highly obedient dogs as well as their important work with the Malinois Foundation.
When not working, you can find Chuck fishing, working with the Knights of Columbus, or spending time outside with his dog, Sir Isaac Newton, a Husky / German Shepherd mix.
Cat Klingsick
Master Trainer
Cat has lived in the Kansas City area her whole life. To her, dogs are family members, not pets. Cat states that she has always enjoyed the idea of helping families create a stronger bond with their fur babies.
From a young age, Cat always thought she would be a K-9 handler and trainer. She recalls, “my best friend wanted to be a doctor, but I always wanted to work with dogs—especially training.”
In her free time, you can find Cat shooting photography, hiking, writing, and spending time outdoors. Her own fur baby is an adorable Black Lab / Saint Bernard mix named Ygritte.

Taylor Bogart
TRAINER
Taylor grew up in the Kansas City Metro area. She is currently enrolled part-time at Baker University pursuing a biology degree. She became a Dog Training Elite trainer after going through the program with her service dog, Levi. Taylor worked 2 years at a doggie daycare and boarding facility, so she has seen almost every breed and temperament. She wanted to become a dog trainer to prove that any dog, no matter the breed, can be worked with. She strives to make each dog the best version of themselves. Taylor grew up with animals. She has many small critters but favors her dogs for their companionship and cleverness. Her favorite hobby has always been dog training. She is thrilled to be able to pursue it as a career. In her free time, you can find Taylor taking care of her animals, training Levi, (because learning never ends) playing tennis, or spending time with her friends and family.
Blaire Borchert
Junior Apprentice & Dog Walker
Blaire Borchert is a Lee’s Summit high school student and is a junior apprentice and dog walker for DTE – KC South. Since she was a toddler, Blaire has had a passion for all animals and at one time thought she might become a bug specialist. As she grew older she was drawn to the loveable, more cuddly nature of dogs.
Blaire’s current companion is a Shepherd mix named Del. When she is not out walking dogs, she is curled up on the couch with Del binging Grey’s Anatomy, House, or Scrubs. One day she hopes to combine her fascination with medical care and her love for canines to become a veterinarian.
Kaylee Phillips
TRAINER
Kaylee grew up in the Kansas City area, has lived in Olathe, Gladstone, Lenexa, Overland Park, and Prairie Village, and now resides in Kansas City, Kansas. Throughout high school and college, she dreamed of working with plants. After 10 years in the industry, she realized plants don’t show emotion back. But pets DO. After going through the program herself with her service dog, Olivia, she learned she loved not only working with dogs but educating the owners as well.
When not working you can find Kaylee doing a variety of things including crafting, sewing, photography, gardening, and our personal favorite: Kayaking with her pup Olivia.
Obedience Training
Dog Training That Solves Everyday Problems
A dog should bring joy, not stress. Without structure, even the most loving pet can pull on the leash, jump on guests, or ignore commands. Our obedience training fixes these issues so your dog becomes the calm, reliable companion you always wanted.
Designed Around Your Lifestyle
We know every family is different. That’s why our programs include in-home sessions for personal coaching and group classes for real-world practice. From basic commands to advanced on- and off-leash training, we prepare your dog to listen at home, in the neighborhood, and out in public — no matter the distractions.
More Than Training — A Lasting Investment
The real cost of skipping training is safety. Investing in obedience now gives you a dog you can trust anywhere, anytime. Starting young sets puppies up for a lifetime of good behavior, while older dogs benefit too — breaking bad habits, building confidence, and staying active and healthier for years to come.
Obedience Training Programs Focus:
- Mastering Core Commands
- Improved Behavior at Home & in Public
- Proper Canine Socialization
- Leash Etiquette
- Human/Canine Trust & Teamwork
